First and foremost, Balázs is passionate about Argentine tango music — he reads about it, collects it, and listens to it constantly. He favors rhythmic and emotionally charged tracks from the Golden Age but maintains a balanced repertoire as a DJ, focusing on dynamic variation between tandas while ensuring consistency within them. Balázs has played over 170 sets at major international events like marathons, festivals, and encuentros, and more than 350 sets at milongas worldwide. He’s also the creator of several notable tango projects: the most listened-to online tango radio, Argentine Tango Radio; the most viewed tango flash mob on YouTube; the most downloaded tango podcast series, Dance able Tangos of the Year; and the world’s first Live Virtual Video Milonga and first Hungarian vinyl-only milonga.
We had the pleasure of hearing Balázs at the Kolašin tango camp for two years running, and both times we were blown away by his impeccable timing and ability to keep the energy high until the early hours. His reputation as an internationally renowned tango DJ precedes him, and we’re thrilled to have his unique flair and talent at our festival!
